Chicken and bacon in epic cream sauce

Wednesday, July 13, 2011

Norsk
300 g kyllingbiter
100 g bacon (eller etter smak)
100 g sopp
Frisk basilikum eller bladpersille

Fløtesaus
2,5 dl fløte
0,5 terning hønsebuljong
1-2 ts pesto
1-2 ts dijon sennep
sort pepper
parmesanost
1/2 gul paprika i små biter

English
300 g chicken chopped in pieces
100 g bacon (or to taste)
100 g mushroom
Fresh basil or parsley

Cream sauce
2,5 dl cream
0,5 cube chicken bouillon
1-2 ts pesto
1-2 ts dijon mustard
black pepper
parmesan cheese
1/2 yellow paprika in little pieces

- Boil the cream with chicken boullion and add pesto, dijon mustard, parmesan and paprika. Let it boil while you fry the chicken, mushroom and bacon in butter.
- Mix it all together and add the fresh herbs (I use spice).
- Don't add any salt! With the boullion cube and bacon it's pretty salt already.

This is great with "rice" and onion (yellow, red, leek, garlic).

Game casserole

Wednesday, July 06, 2011

Norsk
1kg elgkjøtt
1 liten rødløk
150g fersk champignon
300g crème fraîche
3 dl vann (bør kanskje sløyfes)
1 ss ekte dijonsennep

Se kilde for detaljer.

Until I make this again, and take a picture, this will have to do.

English
1kg moose meat
150g fresh champignon
300g crème fraîche
3 dl water (you might wanna leave this one out)
1 table spoon real dijon mustard
salt and pepper
butter for frying

Short summary: Fry the meat chopped in pieces in a frying pan until the butter is brown. Fry until the meat starts getting brown and put it in a casserole with butter. Fry chopped onion and champignon until the onion is all shiny in butter. Put it in the casserole, add water and boil it. Add the rest and let the entire casserole absorb (? - excuse my shitty English. This was not an easy translation) in at least 30 minutes.
